When it comes to the balance of business life and home life, it's rarely possible to have it all. But in Charlotte USA, we can confidently state we do. With convenient access to most any destination in the world, rich cultural opportunities, a mild year-round climate, a wide range of housing options, quality education and a low cost of living, the Charlotte region truly does offer something very special. Rural and urban settings provide a variety of activities within a short drive, from hiking in the mountains and bathing on the beaches, to attending major league sporting events and cultural festivities.
With teams in the NFL, NBA, IHL and AAA baseball as well as our reputation as a major NASCAR headquarters, the Charlotte region continues to be recognized as a national sports market. In 2006, the City of Charlotte was selected as the site for the NASCAR Hall of Fame and construction is currently underway. Construction on this facility is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2010. In 2006, the U.S. National Whitewater Center opened just outside of Charlotte to bring additional recreational opportunities to residents. The Center offers the facilities and amenities of an outdoor recreational center with a custom-made whitewater river serving as the centerpiece. The facility will also be used as an official Olympic training center for whitewater slalom racing. If there's one thing our residents and visitors will gladly tell you, it's that Charlotte USA is rich in things to do and see. We have all the advantages of a major metropolitan city, yet manage to keep it all in perspective, giving Charlotte USA a unique southern charm. |
